• Cocalico School District is accepting applications for a junior high assistant girls basketball coach, a varsity assistant field hockey coach and a junior high head cheerleading coach for the 2020-21 school year. Cycling

• The 2020 Lancaster Sunrise Ride for Literacy, originally scheduled for July 25, has been postponed out of concerns for the health and safety of our riders and volunteers. The ride has been rescheduled for May 8, 2021. The Lancaster Sunrise Rotary Club looks forward to the ride next year and encourages everyone to stay safe and be well until then.

Field hockey

• Next Level Field Hockey Camps, directed by head coach Jessica Shellenberger, will be held at Manheim Township's Weaver Road Athletic Complex from July 13-16. Camps are available for field hockey players entering grades 1-9. COVID-19 UPDATE: We are hopeful we will be able to run the camps, and registration remains open. • The Solanco Education Foundation golf tournament is set for Aug. 7 at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club in Quarryville. Proceeds help fund $1,000 college scholarships for graduating seniors and academic venture grants for teachers. Registration begins at noon, with golf to tee off at 1 p.m. in a scramble format. Running

• The Lancaster Road Runners Club invites runners of all ages and abilities to participate in its fun runs, held throughout the area at 6 p.m. every Tuesday, rain or shine. This week the group will be running from Long’s Park, 1441 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster. Park in the area by Pavillion 2. The group asks that if a participant is feeling any COVID-19 symptoms or has been around any infected individuals, they should stay away. Softball

Trail riding

• GEARS is offering hourlong trail ride sessions at Ironstone Ranch, 1 Hollinger Lane, Elizabethtown, at 11:30 a.m. July 22 or Aug. 12. Ride through 275 acres of woods and farmland. Horses are well-mannered and trained to work with riders who have little or no experience. No trotting or galloping. All participants must be age 8 or older, and there is a strict weight limit of 250 pounds. Masks or bandannas are required at arrival and check-in. Triathlon

• Registration for the annual Triathlon at Lititz recCenter continues with a 250 maximum on participants. The event, to be held Aug. 9, will feature swim, bike, run in a modified start format. Volleyball

• GEARS will offer a boys camp led by Elizabethtown varsity coach Lamar Fahnestock from 5-7 p.m. July 20-23 at Wolgemuth Park, 8795 Elizabethtown Road, Elizabethtown. The camp will focus on basic skills while combining individual drills, team drills and team competition. Also being offered is the Girls Middle School Volleyball Program, which will compete in league play on Monday nights. Teams are for girls in grades 5-6 and 7-8,and dates are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from Aug. 17 to Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the Stoneybrook Park.
