Rebecca M. "Becky" Hensel, 26, of Little Britain, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of William J., Jr., and Linda M. (Moore) Hensel.
Becky was a 2009 graduate of Solanco High School, studying cosmetology at the Lancaster County CTC during her senior year. Becky then went on to find employment with Acosta, setting up product displays at retail locations.
In her teen years, Becky was an avid softball player, playing for Blaze, and was chosen to play as an all-star. Becky was a lover of nature and had a passion for the outdoors, regularly looking for Native American artifacts in rural areas. She also enjoyed spending time with and taking hikes with her dog, Tigres.
In addition to her parents, Becky is survived by a sister, Steph (Sam) Cooper, of New Providence; a brother, Bill (Dana) Hensel, of Nottingham; niece and nephew, Kylie and Dominick Cooper; paternal grandmother, Claudette Felczak, of Quarryville; and her faithful Great Dane, Tigres. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, William J. Hensel, Sr., and maternal grandparents, James E. and Freida B. Moore.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Wesley Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA, with a viewing at the church from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery.
