Lynne Marion Renshaw, 62 of Salunga passed away Monday morning, June 10, 2019 at Hospice & Community Care after a courageous fight against cancer . She was born in Lancaster on December 21, 1956, daughter of the late John Lloyd and Arlene Moody Renshaw. Lynne was the very loving companion of Raymond P. Geist.
A 1975 graduate of Manheim Township High School, she went on to become a flight attendant for 5 years. Lynne was a cocktail waitress at the former Treadway and Travellodge in Lancaster. During this time she discovered the gym and the world of body building and was hooked.
Lynne competed in NPC Body Building Competitions, winning locally, statewide and regionally. Most recently, she competed in the USA Powerlifting Organization. She set over 30 state records, won PA State titles 5 times, set 9 American records, and won 2 national championships. Lynne represented Team USA on two occasions: The North American, which she won, and also Worlds, where she became the World Bench Press Champion. Lynne always said she could not have done this without the tremendous support she received from her Separation Training teammates and Coach Jere Hess.
Lynne loved people, animals, a good meal, and the beach. Because of her love for people and lifting weights at the gym, she combined them to become a personal trainer. Helping people to look and feel their best was truly rewarding to Lynne. Most recently, she worked at Formula Fitness and Mt. Joy People.
Lynne will be dearly missed by her companion Ray; her feline friend, Rebel; her brother, Geoffrey Renshaw of Baltimore and many dear friends.
