Kathleen J. "Kathy" Williams, 58 of Manor Township, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017, at her home. She was the wife of the late Clifford D. Williams, who passed away in 1988.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Betty M. (Fisher) Kreider, of Quarryville, and the late Clair E. Kreider.
Kathy was a 1977 graduate of Solanco High School. After high school, she attended California University of Pennsylvania and earned a bachelor's degree. Kathy went on to work in the field of safety for 28 years, working for Anderson Pretzel, Armstrong World Industries (where she was known as the "Safety Godmother"), and most recently as a safety manager for Kalas Manufacturing.
Kathy was a member of Ross Street United Methodist Church for 27 years. For leisure, she enjoyed traveling to various destinations around the world. She also enjoyed the two Boston Terriers she had as pets, "her boys", Ruger and Tazer. Most of all, Kathy loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Kathy is survived by a son, John C. (Brittany) Williams, of Manahawkin, New Jersey; granddaughter and grandson, Bradleigh and Jaxson; siblings, Clair (Louise) Kreider, Jr., of Lititz, Lynda (Richard) Frutchey, Dennis (Jill) Kreider, and Keith (Nancy) Kreider, all of Quarryville, and Kevin (Kay) Kreider, of Humble, TX.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Ross Street United Methodist Church, 312 East Ross Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. There will not be a time of visitation prior to the service. Interment will be private.
