John Dean "JD" Long, Jr. of Quarryville, received his "Angel Wings" on May 26, 2017. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Pamela J. Keller and the late John D. Long.
JD graduated in 2012 from Solanco High School and went on to graduate from UTI as a diesel mechanic. He worked as a mechanic for Republic Services in Marietta. JD loved taking photos of his truck along with his friends and their trucks.
He is survived by his mother Pam, maternal grandmother, Jean Keller, aunts and uncles, Sherri, Randy, Jeff and Margie along with his paternal grandmother, Faye Long and aunt Cathy. Also, he leaves behind all his wonderful friends and his four-legged friend and "shot gun rider", Ramby.
Services celebrating JD's life will be on Friday evening, June 9, 2017 at 7:00 pm from the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA. There will not be a visitation prior to the service, but the family will greet friends informally, immediately following the services in the church's fellowship hall.
Please omit flowers; due to JD's love of animals, contributions may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Hwy. E., Lancaster, PA 17602.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services in Quarryville. To sign the online guestbook, please visit, www.dewalds.com
