James L. Reichert, 70, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born Saturday, May 28, 1949 in Harrisburg, he was the son of late Paul R. and Nancy E. (Ream) Reichert. He was married to Joyce I. (Siltzer) Reichert of Elizabethtown.
Jim was retired from Ace Hardware and was a fire restoration contractor. He was a self taught musician with natural talent who played drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and organ. He played with multiple area bands most recently with the Bentley Band in Harrisburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Tina, Julie and Jesse; two step-daughters: Amy and Wendy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister Jan Blough and a brother Paul Reichert.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at American Legion #998, 4700 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111 from 12:00 PM-2:00PM. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
