Irvin Graybill, Jr., 82, of Stevens, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Brethren Village, with his family at his side.
He was born in Stevens to the late Irvin Graybill, Sr. and the late Mazie (Hertzog) Graybill and was the husband of the late Grace S. (Summy) Graybill, who died in 2013.
He was a member of the Mohler Church of the Brethren, Ephrata, where he served as a deacon at the church and was on the Mohler's Cemetery board. A graduate of East Cocalico High School Class of 1949, he enjoyed woodworking, golfing, hunting, and traveling. He was an avid hockey player in his younger days and an avid golfer up until his death, and was active in various civic organizations. Irvin was known for his sense of humor.
Irvin was a retired dairy farmer, part owner of the Triple G Farm Market, and was also a partner in the Foxchase Golf Club.
Irvin is survived by a daughter, Susan, wife of Mark Dykema of Stevens; a son, Douglas, husband of Kris Graybill of Stevens; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Harold, husband of Arlene Graybill of Denver, and Arthur, husband of MaryBelle Graybill of Stevens.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Graybill, and 2 brothers, Donald and Carl Graybill.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday at the Mohler's Church of the Brethren, 21 E. Mohler Church Road, Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Carl Brubaker officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
