Gregory W. Armentrout
Gregory W. Armentrout, age 52, of Gap, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 at Lancaster, PA. He was the beloved husband of Cheri Bird Armentrout with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage in August of last year. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Betty Walus Arrowood of East Earl and Wilson Armentrout of Coatesville. Greg was a member of First Baptist Church of Pequea. He worked for Denlinger, later named Stock, Building Supply for 25 years. He was a graduate of Coatesville High School, class of 1980. Greg was an avid deer hunter. He loved working outside, working his garden, being in the woods and being with his animals.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by 3 siblings: Allen Armentrout of Coatesville, Robert, husband of Linda, Armentrout of Morgantown, Deborah Reynolds of New Holland, his adopted heart son Clinton Dowlin of New Providence, 5 nieces, 3 nephews, and 18 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA with Pastor Pat Audia officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing on Saturday at the church from 1:30 until time of service.
