Gary L. Plumley, age 57, of Gap, PA, passed away at his home on September 23, 2015. He was the husband of Nancy Hershey Plumley with whom he celebrated 19 years of marriage on March 6th. He was born in Delaware County, son of the late George & Nancy Stagner Plumley. He graduated from Kennett High School class of 1977. Gary was a member of the Christiana Historical Society and produced a documentary on the Christiana Riot. Gary was very musically gifted, playing numerous string instruments and the piano. Music was a big part of his life.
He and his brother George formed a group called the Country Gospel Show and they played at retirement communities and for senior groups.
Surviving besides his wife are 3 children: Gary Jr. husband of Cassie Plumley of Downingtown, Tina wife of Greg Bledsoe, Laurie Plumley both of North Carolina, 4 step children: Janice wife of Gary Crills of Gap, Bob husband of Chrissy Martin of Marietta, Ralph husband of Trish Hess of New Holland, Katie wife of Shawn Phillips of Lititz, 3 granddaughters, 8 step grandchildren; 4 brothers: George husband of Susan Plumley, Shane Plumley both of Kennett Square, Troy Plumley of Wilmington, DE, Rusty Plumley of Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Plumley.
