Douglas Lou Schnupp, 67, of Wyomissing passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday June 24th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 23, 1952 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Martin and Frances (Boley) Schnupp.
He graduated from Garden Spot High School in 1970 and worked at Case New Holland and Harley Davidson, where he retired. After retiring, he worked part-time at Fenner Precision in Manheim.
Anyone that knew him loved his kindness and humorous nature and there was never a day that he was not in a good mood and wanting to make someone laugh. Even fighting his cancer, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and never missed a chance to dance (to the oldies) or play with them. Doug will be missed immensely by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Renee and 2 stepsons; Michael K. Burr of Leola and his wife Danielle; Jonathan J. Burr of Wyomissing and his wife Karen; three grandchildren; Kameron, Jacob, and Gracie; his two sisters; Constance Sheppard and her husband Terry Sheppard of New Holland and Patricia Cox and her husband James Cox also of New Holland.
At Doug's request, there will be no service.
Memorial contributions can be made in Doug's honor to www.heartlandhospicefund.org/donate or Heartland 2201 Ridgewood Road Suite 180 Wyomissing, Pa 19610.
