Alma Lee Landis
Alma Lee Landis, 70, died at her home in Strasburg on Sunday, June 15, 2008. Her husband, the late Wilbur L. Landis, died in 2003. Born in West Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Worth and Ada Elsie Vannoy Bare.
Alma had been a Registered Nurse at Lancaster General Hospital and then at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She loved her cats.
Surviving are her daughter, Jann, wife of Mike Denlinger of Lancaster; two sons, Jim Landis of Salunga and Doug, husband of Lori Willcox Landis of Millersville; three grandchildren; and three siblings, Mary Phillips of Wallingford, Martha McLeod of Mount Joy and William Bare of Nottingham. Her daughter, Sandra Murray, preceded Alma in death.
VISITATION: Thursday, June 19, from 9 until 10 AM in the Pequea Church, 40 Church Road, Lancaster, PA. FUNERAL: Thursday, June 19, at 10 AM from the church, with Pastor J. Daniel Houck officiating.
