Alexander Andrew Miller

Alexander Andrew Miller, 36, of Millersville, died on Tuesday morning, November 14, 2017.

Born April 4, 1981 in Lancaster, he was the son of Andrew K. and Erika (Vittur) Miller, of Millersville and Alex was a 1999 graduate of Penn Manor High School.

Both as a youth and as an adult, he was an outstanding soccer player. Alex served proudly in the Military with the U.S. Army from January 2000 through December 2003. He was based in Germany, Kosovo, Kuwait and at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Business strategy came naturally and after his Military Service, he earned a Business Management: Associate in Arts degree from Harrisburg Area Community College. A hard-working individual, Alex established his own business, Miller & Sons Roofing & Restoration. Many people have benefitted from his passion and talent for cooking.

Alex will be remembered as a life-loving, energetic and fun as well as a wonderful father, caring son and supportive brother.

In addition to his parents; Alex is survived by his sons; Lucas and Zeke Miller and his daughter, Genevieve Miller; a sister; Christina T. Miller, wife of Rod Northcutt of College Corner, OH; and a niece; Raya Miller-Northcutt; the mother of his children; Ashlee Ketner; as well as extended family living in Pennsylvania and northern Italy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Alex's Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home-Sullivan Home, 121 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 (on-site parking with attendants) on Friday evening, November 24, 2017 at 7:30PM. Friends may call at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home-Sullivan Home-Lancaster on Friday evening, November 24, 2017 between 6-7:30PM. Casual attire is welcome.

In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting the non-profit organization, Compass Mark, whose purpose is to reduce the incidence, prevalence, and consequences of the harmful use of, and addiction to, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with Military Honors.
