Roseboro gets life sentence for murder of wife

Michael Roseboro

Michael Roseboro was sentenced to life in prison without parole today in Lancaster County Court for murdering his wife, Jan.

Roseboro, 42, who had been director of his family's funeral home in Denver, was convicted of first-degree murder for killing his wife in the swimming pool behind their home in July 2008.

Before Judge James Cullen imposed the mandatory sentence, Roseboro told him he disagreed with the jury's verdict.

District Attorney Craig Stedman described the murder of Jan Roseboro, a 45-year-old mother of four children, as "selfish and senseless."
