VEHICLE THEFT

COLUMBIA BOROUGH: Christopher Barton Sr., 46, of Columbia, was charged with motor vehicle theft after he took a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 1000 from a property in the 400 block of Locust Street on May 23 at 6:38 p.m., police said. A camera captured Barton sitting on the motorcycle and pushing it down the alley with his feet, police said.

DUI

LITITZ: David E. Wiest, 43, of Collingswood, New Jersey, was charged with driving under the influence and a lighting violation after he was stopped for driving without his taillights on about 2:40 a.m. June 1, police said. His blood alcohol content was 0.148%, police said.

DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION, ALTERED DOCUMENTS

LITITZ: Jahmal Amin Hodges, 43, of Lititz, was charged with having altered, forged or counterfeit documents and plates, driving under suspension, trespassing by motor vehicle and violations of use of certificate of inspection after an officer saw suspicious inspection and emission certificates on his car on June 2 near Laurel Drive.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK

LITITZ: Timothy Higgins, 42, of Lititz, was charged with violating the right-of-way for pedestrians in crosswalks after he hit a person in the first block of North Broad Street about 12:30 p.m. June 2, police said. The pedestrian was treated for minor injuries.

BURGLARY, STRANGULATION

LANCASTER TWP.: Angel M. Diaz-Cordoro, 25, of Lancaster, was charged with burglary, strangulation, simple assault and criminal mischief after he entered the home of a former acquaintance without permission, pointed a knife at one person, choked another person, pulled her hair and hit her in the face about 10:30 p.m. May 29, police said. He also smashed a glass-top,valued at $150, before leaving, police said.

LANCASTER TWP.: Janeen Renee Findley, 48, of Lancaster, was charged with driving under the influence and related offenses after she was stopped for a faulty headlight and expired registration about 11:25 p.m. May 25 at Wilson Drive at Columbia Avenue, police said. Her blood alcohol content was 0.146%, police said.

THEFT

MANHEIM TWP.: Shawn Douglas Espigh, 45, of Lancaster, was charged with theft after he stole $20 from a donation jar at Oregon Dairy, 2900 Oregon Pike, about 3:42 p.m. May 17, police said. Espigh has been charged with similar offenses elsewhere, including stealing $175 from a donation box at Walmart, 890 E. Main St., in Ephrata Township on May 28, police said.

UNSWORN FALSIFICATION

MANHEIM TWP.: Ashley Diane Bowers, 25, of York, was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities after she gave false information when trying to buy a gun at Gun Gallery, 1020 Dillerville Road, on January 23, police said. Bowers is a felon, on probation and addicted to drugs, which made her ineligible to purchase a firearm, police said.

ASSAULT

LANCASTER: Daniel A. Boehler, 26, of Lancaster, was charged with simple assault after he grabbed the steering wheel of a woman's car, causing her to drive into some bushes, before he pushed her off his front porch, causing her to strike her head, police said.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WHILE DUI

MANOR TWP.: Ardis Goldsborough, 36, of Columbia, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault while driving under the influence, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, two counts of careless driving causing serious bodily injury and related offenses after a head-on crash about 6:14 p.m. April 1 in the 3100 block of Blue Rock Road, police said. Two occupants in the vehicle Goldsborough hit required surgery and Goldsborough was seriously injured, police said.

ASSAULT

MOUNTVILLE: Joshuael Ortiz, 25, of Lancaster, was charged with simple assault after slamming a door to a trailer shut on a woman's hand, breaking two of her fingers, on May 18 in the 300 block of West Main Street at 8:35 p.m., police said.

ATTEMPTING TO FLEE POLICE

SALISBURY TWP.: Charles Curtis Blessing, 43, of Narvon, was charged with flight to avoid police after trying to drive away when police approached the vehicle because Blessing had a warrant, police said. Tina Susan Knisely, 39, of Narvon, who was a passenger, was charged with possessing drugs and paraphernalia, police said.

WEST EARL TWP.: Justin Lee Collazo, 27, of Lancaster, was charged with driving under the influence after he was stopped on Route 222 on April 27 at 3:23 p.m., police said.

STRANGULATION

CONESTOGA TWP.: Stephen Humbert, 32, of Conestoga Township, was charged with strangulation after he strangled a woman and bit her ear, June 1, at 1:30 p.m., police said.
