Young people marched to three elected officials’ offices Friday as part of international climate strikes.

Approximately 20 young people, including college and high school students, protested around Lancaster city to bring attention to the climate crisis. The march was led by Sunrise Movement Lancaster, Elizabethtown College Climate Advocates and Elizabethtown College Democrats, its organizer said.

Protesters went to the offices of state Rep. Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster; state Sen. Scott Martin, R-Martic Township; and U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker, R-11th District, to call on these officials to support policies like the Green New Deal.
