A 15-year-old student was charged after making threats to bring a gun to Octorara Area School District, police said.
The student referenced the Feb. 14 shooting in Parkland, Florida, West Fallowfield police Chief Charles Wilmont said in a news release Thursday.
The student was charged with terroristic threats and related charges Wednesday, police said.
He was taken into custody and is being detained in the Chester County Youth Detention Center.
"Any serious threats directed to the safety of our students, staff or the school will be thoroughly investigated by this agency. When identified, those individuals involved will be charged accordingly," Wilmont said.
