A 55-year-old woman was hospitalized for "unknown injuries" Thursday after her vehicle was struck, trapping her inside, in Ephrata.

A 55-year-old woman was hospitalized for "unknown injuries" Thursday after her vehicle was struck, trapping her inside, in Ephrata, police said

Stevens resident Tyrone Miller, 56, driving a pickup truck, pulled from a stop sign and hit the woman's car, a Subaru, as it drove east on Martin Avenue at around 2:30 p.m., police said.

The woman was extricated and taken to a local hospital. The Subaru was towed from the scene, police said. 

Ephrata police, Lincoln and Pioneer fire departments and Ephrata Ambulance assisted at the crash site.
