Two horse-and-buggy accidents sent four people to the hospital Sunday night. 

One person was injured in a crash involving a horse and buggy and a truck Sunday afternoon in Martic Township.

Emergency personnel were dispatched at 4:24 p.m. to the Norman Wood Bridge in Holtwood.

A female passenger of the buggy was taken by ambulance to Lancaster General with a head injury, according to County Dispatch. her condition was not immediately known. 

No information was provided on the health of the horses. 

Details of the accident weren't immediately available.

Calls seeking more information were placed to the Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Department.  

State police declined comment. 

Emergency response personnel were dispatched to a another horse-and-buggy incident at 7:40 p.m in Brecknock Township when a horse and buggy collided with a minivan.

The accident took place at Pleasant Valley Road and Messner Lane.  

Three people, all passengers in the buggy, were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to Fivepointville Fire Company Chief Nelson Shirk.

One of the people involved is an 8-month-old child, he said.
