Two people were injured in separate crashes on icy roads Sunday night in Lancaster County.
In Pequea Township, a woman reportedly was trapped after her vehicle crashed around 9:20 p.m. on Rawlinsville Road, just south of Baumgardner Road.
An official at the scene said the woman's Ford Explorer hit a patch of black ice and flipped. The woman was freed by firefighters and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Earlier in the evening, a New Holland teen was injured when his vehicle slid on black ice and struck a tree in the 500 block of North Railroad Avenue in Earl Township.
New Holland police said Christian Wardle, 19, was taken to Lancaster General Hospital with injuries that did not appear life-threatening.
