Three people were injured in a morning wreck in Upper Leacock Township Monday.

Ronald Moss Jr., 50, of Akron, was driving north in the 2400 block of Horseshoe Road just before 9 a.m., East Lampeter Township police Lt. Robin Weaver said.

For an unknown reason, Moss’s pickup truck veered into the oncoming lane and struck a southbound sport utility vehicle nearly head-on. The driver of the SUV was able to stop it before impact, he said.

Moss, and a 59-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter in the SUV, were taken to Lancaster General Hospital with “moderate” injuries, Weaver said. Moss is being cited with a lane violation.

Horseshoe Road was closed between Mt. Sidney and West Eby roads for a time.
