A 26-year-old woman killed in a one-car crash along Route 30 West at Prospect Road in West Hempfield Township on Friday has been identified.

She is Kirklyn M. Tronetti, township police Sgt. Jeffery Mullin reported. Tronetti was driving west when her Saturn Ion went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail, Mullin said. The car spun off the guardrail and stopped in the westbound lanes against the median barrier.

A deputy coroner pronounced Tronetti dead at the scene.

According to her Facebook page, Tronetti was a member of the Army National Guard. An online obituary said she served in the military police in a guard unit in Johnstown.

The obituary identified her as a resident of Brownstown, but said she was formerly of Smethport in northwestern Pennsylvania, where her family still lives.

It said she held a degree in criminal justice from Edinboro University, where she played drums in the band, and had recently started working at Kunzler & Co. of Lancaster.

Police don’t know what caused the accident, Mullin said. They ask anyone with information to call them at 285-5191 or 1-800-957-2677.
