Crews responded to a fire Thursday afternoon at Fenner Drives in Manheim.
Multiple people called 911 around 3:10 p.m. reporting an electrical fire on the roof of the building at 311 W. Stiegel St.
A fire official heading to the scene reported that a heavy column of smoke was visible.
Manheim Deputy Fire Chief Dan Wagner said Thursday night that power lines feeding into the building from a utility pole caught fire, creating electrical arcing.
An electric company completing unrelated work down the street quickly responded and cut power to the facility, allowing crews to extinguish the fire, Wagner said.
A damage estimate wasn't available Thursday night.
Crews remained at the scene until about 4:30 p.m.
