Lancaster city police are looking for a man who, police say, threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend and then ran from police during a traffic stop.
John Lugo II, 29, threatened to shoot at a house that his ex-girlfriend lives in and kill both her and her boyfriend on June 7, police said.
A warrant for Lugo was issued charging him with terroristic threats.
The next day, at 2:28 a.m., police spotted a black BMW that committed several summary violations and was registered to Lugo.
When police stopped Lugo and tried to remove him from the car, he turned his car back on and fled from the officers, police said.
Police found his car at his address, but Lugo was not in the house, police said.
Lugo is charged with escape, violation of a noise ordinance, failure to drive at safe speeds and window tint violations, in addition to his original charge of terroristic threats.
Police are asking that anyone with information on Lugo's current location call city police, at (717) 735-3301 or Lancaster Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-1913. Tips can be anonymously texted to crime stoppers by texting "LANCS" and your message to 847411.
