Lancaster City police tape

A Harrisburg man died after he was shot early Sunday morning in the 600 block of Lafayette Street in Lancaster city, police said.

A 25-year-old Lancaster man was wounded in the shooting, which happened around 12:30 a.m.

Police said Anthony Marshall, 44, of the 1300 block of Susquehanna Street in Harrisburg, died at a hospital after being shot in the torso.

Police did not release information about the suspected shooter or the injured Lancaster man.

Police found Marshall in the first block of Laurel Street, and they found the wounded man in the 700 block of Manor Street.

The Lancaster man, who was shot in the shoulder, was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide — the city’s fourth this year — and said that it appears there was a party, and the shooting happened after a confrontation with a group of people.

After the shooting, the victims left the scene, police said.
