Two young people on Friday dumped an unconscious man suffering from a heroin overdose along a Manheim Township road and left him, police said.
Julia L. Slaymaker, 19, and Nathan L. Rosenberry, 23, both of Gish Road in Penn Township, were seen removing the man from a vehicle.
They left him along the road in the 100 block of Granite Run Drive shortly before 6:30 p.m., township police Lt. Tom Rudzinski said. Officers and emergency medical personnel found him suffering from a heroin overdose.
The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.
A witness provided a description of the vehicle and police quickly spotted it on Route 72. During a stop, they discovered Slaymaker had two baggies of heroin, Rudzinski said.
Police charged Slaymaker and Rosenberry with recklessly endangering another person.
Slaymaker was also charged with possession of heroin.
