Two people were killed in a crash late Sunday in East Cocalico Township, according to police.
A 53-year-old male driver and a 29-year-old female passenger died after their vehicle collided with a fence and large tree, police said.
The crash happened just before midnight near East Swartzville Road and Bill Drive. The driver "failed to negotiate a curve," and speed is believed to have been a factor, police said.
The man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene by the Lancaster County Coroner's office, police said.
County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said their names will be released after family is notified.
Emergency officials have since cleared the site, which is in Swartzville, just outside of Adamstown Borough.
