Motorists are getting in accidents and becoming stranded in disabled vehicles in several areas across Lancaster County this morning.

At least nine accidents and eight disabled vehicles were reported by Lancaster County-Wide Communications between 7 and 8 a.m.

A vehicle struck a utility pole on East Newport Road (Route 772) in Warwick Township at 7:15 a.m., forcing the closure of the road between its two intersections with Skyview Lane.

A county dispatch supervisor said there were also a few accidents on slick roads overnight.

Two people were injured in a one-car accident in East Donegal Township at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters took off a door to free a person trapped in the car after the crash on Anderson Ferry Road, near Rock Point Road.

The car spun around and hit a guard rail. It wasn’t clear if it hit something else.

Two people were taken to Lancaster General Hospital with injuries. The accident caused a van to slide off the slippery road and another car to hit a utility pole, but no one was injured in those vehicles and the car only had minor damage.

Susquehanna Regional police responded.
