Rohrerstown Elementary School was evacuated because of the smell of natural gas, Hempfield School District said this afternoon.
Emergency officials inspected the school at 2200 Noll Drive and found no problem, the district said on Twitter.
Students and staff were allowed to return to the building for normal dismissal. The district said busing will be provided as usual, but buses may depart later than normal.
The public school serves about 450 students from kindergarten through sixth grade.
Rohrerstown Elementary closed last Tuesday after the discovery of an electrical problem. The district said a building supervisor noticed smoke in a mechanical room.
The school reopened the following day.
