Mary Steffy assumed the role on May 1 and has agreed to serve for up to four months as candidates are interviewed, the nonprofit announced this morning.
Steffy, who spent more than 30 years with the nonprofit, retired as executive director in 2012 and was succeeded by Jan Baily, who resigned in April.
“We were in the prisons before, but now MHA is running support groups there,” Steffy said of the organization’s growth since she left. “This is exciting.”
