A motorist blamed a stuck accelerator with causing a five-vehicle crash in the 500 block of West King Street Tuesday night.
A Ford Taurus station wagon struck several moving vehicles, sheared off a telephone pole and came to a stop against the front of two homes, city police Chief Keith Sadler said in a press release. The driver said his accelerator had become stuck.
It happened between Pine and Mary streets at 9:15 p.m.
Lancaster police Sgt. Jeff Haas said medical personnel responded for two people with injuries. A third person was also injured. All injuries were minor, police said.
The two houses had only minor damage. Police are still investigating.
