Lancaster city police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 400 block of South Christian Street on Monday evening.
Police said four people were shot by a man with a shotgun after a neighborhood disturbance.
The injuries were not life-threatening and were caused by pellets from the shotgun, Sergeant Mike Dean said. The victims, two men and two women, were taken to the hospital to be treated.
Police said that a man had been causing a disturbance in the street prior to the shooting, including breaking a fence, and it drew the attention of neighbors.
One man "used a shotgun to fire two rounds of small pellets, which struck the victims," police said.
The shooter fled the scene.
One of the victims was the male causing the disturbance and police said that he may face charges once released from the hospital.
Emergency responders were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m.
Police are still investigating and ask that anyone with information call (717) 735-3301 or Lancaster Crime Stoppers at (800) 322-1913. People can also anonymously text a tip to Crime Stoppers by using your cell phone: text LANCS plus your message to 847411.
