Rescue crews responded Saturday evening to at least two water rescues because of vehicles stuck in high water on local roadways.
The first call came in at 7:54 p.m. for an incident at Spring Valley and Cardinal roads in East Hempfield Township.
Less than 15 minutes later, a second call was placed for a vehicle stuck in the water at North President Avenue and Harrisburg Pike in Manheim Township.
Both incidents were cleared fairly quickly.
High water was also reported on roadways in areas including Meadowview Road at Milton Grove in Mount Joy Township, Woodcrest Avenue at Becker Drive in Warwick Township and Donnerville Road at Weaver in Manor Township.
The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Lancaster County until 10:15 p.m.
Motorists are warned not to drive into high water.
According to the National Weather Service, a flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, water is ponding in urban or other areas.
“Do not drive through areas where water covers the road,” the weather service warns.
