Graduations

Clay Fisher received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Eastern University, St. Davids, on May 11, 2019.

A 2015 graduate of Cocalico High School, he is the son of Wayne and Laurie Fisher, of Denver.

Area students were among those who graduated recently from LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas.

Aaron Carter, of Narvon, received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, summa cum laude.

Jessica Todorov, of Mount Joy, received a Master of Arts in psychology.

Dean’s list

Emily Harting was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 GPA for the spring 2019 semester at La Salle University, Philadelphia, where she is studying nutrition and is a member of the cheerleading team.

A 2016 graduate of Cocalico High School, she is the daughter of Patricia and Barry Harting, of Stevens.

Honors

Penn Manor High School senior William J. Burke III, of Millersville, recently was selected as one of seven winners of a PPL Electric Utilities Future Environmental Leaders Scholarship.

Burke will receive $2,000 toward his studies at Penn State University, where he plans to pursue a degree in environmental or energy engineering.

Shaylyn McComsey, of Willow Street, received the Penny Fox Internship Fellowship Award from Moore College of Art and Design, where she is majoring in fashion design.

She will be an intern at Chico’s FAS in Fort Myers, Florida, in summer 2019.

A 2016 graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School, she is the daughter of Dean and Barbara McComsey.
