Classic car connoisseurs set to congregate
Vintage race cars in a beautifully elegant setting — for car connoisseurs it doesn’t get any better than the annual Elegance at Hershey taking place this weekend, mainly on the grounds of The Hotel Hershey.
The event celebrates a bygone era, beginning with Friday’s Grand Ascent, a vintage hill climb exhibition done in the European tradition.
Saturday features another Grand Ascent, plus Cars & Coffee, a casual get-together for car enthusiasts, and a gala evening party to benefit a variety of charities.
The weekend’s most anticipated event, however, is Sunday’s Concours d’Elegance, a garden party held in the manicured gardens of The Hotel Hershey, adorned with some of the world’s finest collector cars.
Visitors can get a glimpse of a bygone era and watch the vintage race car hill climb for $10. (Limited VIP ride-along tickets are available. Check website for details.)
The Elegance itself carries a heftier admission of $40.
