Vinegar Creek Constituency

The second installment of “Songs in the Chapel,” featuring Vinegar Creek Constituency with special guest Christine Fry, will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 12, in the chapel at Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave.

Vinegar Creek Constituency channels the old ghosts of American folk music tradition through imaginative, emotive original songs. Fry helps to keep the musical traditions of yesteryear alive with her renditions of old-time country, bluegrass and rural music.

There is no admission charge; donations will be accepted.

Class focuses on Raising kids' spiritual curiosity

The Parish Resource Center, 2160 Lincoln Highway East No. 18, will host “Cultivating Spiritual Curiosity in Children,” from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Naturopathic doctor to speak at UUCL

Dr. Meghan Gonick, a naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist, will discuss “Unity and Change as Central Principles in Chinese Medicine” at Unitarian Universalist Church of Lancaster, 538 W. Chestnut St., at 10 a.m. Sunday.

LifeSpring Fellowship offers new program

LifeSpring Fellowship, 490 W. Lincoln Ave., Lititz, is hosting Family Action Agents from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, through Tuesday, July 16. This is an interactive group experience where families journey through Mission Control to find out ideas about their relationship to God, each other and the world around them. Lancaster to again host Catholic Writers Conference

The Catholic Writers Guild will host Catholic Writers Conference Live from Tuesday, July 30, through Friday, Aug. 2, at the Lancaster County Convention Center. The event will be held in conjunction with the Catholic Marketing Network’s Momentum 2019 Tradeshow. The Catholic Writers Conference Live provides writers, artists, editors and illustrators opportunities for networking, workshops on writing, publishing and marketing as well as critique sessions and more.

Workshop presenters include Patti Maguire Armstrong, Celeste Bene, Donna Heckler, Lisa Mladinich, Heidi Saxton and others. Of special interest is this year’s Podcast Panel.
