Alton Brown’s making something of a December tradition, stopping by Lancaster two years in a row to sample local fare.
Now, he’s made it apparent why.
The chef, author and host of Food Network’s “Good Eats” tapped Lancaster city’s Ma(i)son as one of his top two restaurants, anywhere, for 2016.
In an episode of his “Alton Browncast” podcast, Brown had this to say about Taylor and Leeann Mason’s North Prince Street spot:
"The fun part," Mason said after the most recent December visit, "was that ... we had already developed a friendly and casual rapport ... they told our team that they had been looking forward to returning to Ma(i)son since they had been here just over a year ago, that it was their favorite meal of 2015."
The Masons also own and run Luca, a rustic Italian Restaurant on James Street.
