Lititz 4th of July Celebration

201st 4th of July Celebration at Lititz Springs Park Wednesday July 4, 2018.

Happy birthday America!

Thursday is Independence Day, and for most folks that means a day off from work, cookouts with the fam and of course, fireworks.

Three communities will be hosting fireworks Thursday night - Ephrata, New Holland and Lititz.

Ephrata’s display happens at around 9:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Heights Outdoor Recreation Area, Joanne Ave.

Earlier in the evening, folks are invited to the Ephrata Church of the Brethren’s annual Community Fun Night.

Food, rides, pony rides and live music are part of the fun from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on church grounds at 201 Crescent Ave., Ephrata.

The New Holland fireworks kick off with the annual patriotic concert by the New Holland Concert Band in New Holland Community Park, 401 E. Jackson St., New Holland, Thursday.

The concert starts at 7 p.m., and fireworks immediately follow. (The rain date is Friday.)
