The pianos have returned.

Lancaster nonprofit Music for Everyone launched the ninth year of its Keys for the City program Wednesday morning. Volunteers placed 13 pianos, each sponsored by a local business or organization, in various public locations throughout Lancaster city.

Twelve pianos will be placed in outdoor locations, where they will remain for the duration of the summer. One piano will remain in Park City Center year-round through a partnership with the mall.

Music for Everyone is a Lancaster-based nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to cultivate the power of music through providing educational resources and community-building programs.
