Vans Warped Tour, a multi-stage, multi-band touring festival that featured pop-punk, emo and more, will have its last full cross-country run in 2018. The tour was the longest-running touring music festival in North America.

The first Warped Tour kicked off in 1995 in Boise, Idaho. More than 11 million people have attended the tour since its inception.

Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman made a statement on the band's official website and Instagram about the tour's conclusion.

"The enduring spirit of the Vans Warped Tour remains as bright as ever, continuing to inspire creativity and ambition in new and exciting ways as we prepare for a 25th anniversary celebration in 2019," Lyman wrote.

Lyman has participated in Lancaster's LAUNCH Music Conference and Festival as a panelist.

More than 1,700 bands and artists have performed at Vans Warped Tour. Among them are Green Day, Paramore, Eminem, the Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Fall Out Boy and New Found Glory.

Fans of Vans Warped Tour eulogized the event on Twitter.

Lyman's decision to allow anti-abortion advocates Rock for Life set up an informational tent at the tour caused controversy earlier this year.
