Some options in Lancaster County this week include three showings of "Richard II," an alpaca open house, a Matt Pond PA concert, a music expo, a night of dancing (for a good cause), an art show and line dancing.

Dancing with the Lancaster Stars

Attendees are encouraged to dress up and spend the night dancing, and support a good cause in the meanwhile. Embodyment Studios will host a Dancing with the Lancaster Stars event at Tellus360 this week, with some proceeds benefiting Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster County. There will be food tastings, live entertainment, dance instructors, a cocktail hour and more.

'Richard II'

The Lancaster Shakespeare Theatre will put on three performances of a reading of Shakespeare's "Richard II," a play that "examines what happens when a ruler loses both his crown and his sense of identity," according to event organizers. This is the final production of the theater company's 2025 season.

'Artisans of the Woodlands'

Moravian Manor Communities will host its annual art show, "Artisans of the Woodlands," this Saturday, featuring works from 19 resident and guest artists.

Alpaca open house

Eastland Alpacas will host its final weekend of its open house in 2025. Attendees can hug and lead alpacas, as well as learn more about them and watch them go through obstacle courses. There are also wagon rides, barrel train rides, a gift shop filled with alpaca-related goods, a food stand and more. Read our preview about the event here.

Line dancing

The Witmer Fire Protective Association will host a night of line dancing this Saturday, featuring tunes from DJ Ray. There will be line dancing lessons from 6-6:30 p.m, and there will also be food and drinks available to purchase. Attendees must be 13 years old or older.

Matt Pond PA concert

Matt Pond PA will perform at West Art this weekend in celebration of the 20th anniversary of his album "Several Arrows Later." Performers Anya Marina and Bathtub Cig will open the show.

The monthly Pennsylvania Music Expo returns to Spooky Nook's East Petersburg location this Sunday, featuring more than 35 vendors selling a variety of wares, from records and CDs to DVDs and tapes.
