A venue for tabletop gaming in an elaborately constructed miniature world is coming to the Shops at Rockvale.

Miniature Realms & Adventures will offer an interactive gaming experience played out on tabletop dioramas. The shop is situated in a 1,600-square-foot retail space at the end of the row of shops behind Cracker Barrel.

Owner Ade Sanya says the idea is to create tiny, physical representations of the action in role playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons. The shop, he said, is an analog version of massive multiplayer online games such as World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV. Players could also use the sets to act out historical battles.

Miniature Realms & Adventures will sell memberships as well as short-term passes.

Sanya recently moved to Lancaster County from Brooklyn where he had operated NU Brand Gaming, a similar tabletop gaming store that he opened in 2014 in a former chiropractors’ office.

While living in Brooklyn, Sanya said he frequently vacationed in Lancaster County and attended several gaming conventions here. He said he fell in love with the area and decided to move here with his family and work on a new version of his gaming store.

Sanya, who is now personally building the sets for Miniature Realms & Adventure, says he hopes to open sometime early next year.
