Another cornerstone of The Crossings at Conestoga Creek will debut Friday when a Residence Inn by Marriott hotel there opens its doors.

The Residence Inn will have 127 studio and one-bedroom suites. All will have separate living, working, eating and sleeping areas, and fully equipped kitchens.

About 30 jobs are being created by the extended-stay hotel, designed for stays of five nights or more, though guests planning shorter stays are welcome too.

Room rates were not available Wednesday.

A spokesman for The Crossing’s developer, High Real Estate Group, declined to disclose the cost of the Manheim Township hotel.

But a building permit issued for the project shows the cost of construction alone exceeded $14 million.

The Crossings is a $120 million mixed-use project on Harrisburg Pike opposite Long’s Park. Featuring shopping, dining, entertainment, living and lodging, it’s being developed by Lancaster-based High Real Estate Group.

The Residence Inn’s opening will be followed by a pedestrian/bike trail in May, Reel Cinema in July, and various shops and restaurants on The Crossing’s “Main Street” from this summer through spring 2020.

These will follow the opening of Wegmans in September, Miller’s Ale House in October, 258 upscale apartments in November, MassageLuXe Spa in January and Orrstown Bank in February.

The Residence Inn will be the 15th hotel for High Hotels, part of High Real Estate Group. Sister companies involved in its development were Greenfield Architects and High Construction.
