Gobble Inc. has received one of 11 Governor’s Achievement Awards for outstanding hiring and workforce development practices.

Gobble is a California-based maker of gourmet meal kits that opened an East Coast operations center in Lancaster in January with 65 employees.

The company expects the facility at 2910 Old Tree Drive in East Hempfield Township to grow to 200 employees in 18 months.

Gobble drew employees from CareerLink programs that aid people who have prison records, disabilities, no work experience, long spells of joblessness, different learning styles and other obstacles to employment.
