With a menu featuring Latin and Caribbean dishes, Fuego Latino has opened in downtown Elizabethtown.
The restaurant at 28 S. Market St. takes a spot next to Funk Brewing that had once been home to Pita Pit and more recently Boothy’s BBQ.
Gerson Morales-Pinzon, who owns the restaurant with his cousin, Jorge Giron, describes the menu as “Latin fusion,” saying it includes Caribbean dishes as well as tacos and burritos. A hot bar and variety of specialty empanadas are also featured.
The restaurant, which has a handful of employees, has seating for around 30.
Morales-Pinzon and Giron previously operated Fuego Latino as a food trailer they parked regularly in Elizabethtown over the last year. Morales-Pinzon said the trailer will continue to be used at events.
