Black Forest Brewery, a small brewpub behind a downtown Ephrata bed and breakfast, is opening Saturday.
Black Forest Brewery will operate out of a newly-built 900-square-foot building behind the 1777 Americana Inn, 301 W. Main St.
It will have seating for about 30 and offer six beers and wines from Lancaster County as well as a small food menu with panini, wraps, soups and salads.
Black Forest Brewery’s on tap beers will include a stout, an India pale ale, American amber ale, pale ale and a heifeweizen.
The sixth tap will have beer from a homebrewer who has won a contest to have his or her recipe made at the brewpub.
Denise Harter, who owns the brewpub and the 1777 Americana Inn with her husband Robert, said the beers will be “traditional tavern ales.” The Harters will have two employees.
