Have you written a book for children or young adults? Do you need help getting it ready for publication?
“Editing Without an Editor” — an all-day workshop for authors with a completed manuscript in need of revision — is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Lancaster Public Library.
Harold Underdown, author of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Children’s Book Publishing,” will lead the session that shows authors how to edit their own work.
The freelance editorial consultant and children’s book editor has worked at Macmillan, Orchard and Charlesbridge publishing houses and has experience in trade and educational publishing. A contributing editor to Children’s Writer’s and Illustrator’s Market, he has been featured at Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators national conferences.
The early-bird registration fee is $100 through June 15; after that date, the fee is $135. Register online at lpl-editing.eventbrite.com.
