Hempfield's Kyle Long, Cocalico's Kyle Felpel and Manheim Central's Cole Proffitt earned top-four finishes in scholastic boys' competition Friday at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

Long, the reigning PIAA Class AAA champion in the discus, placed second in that event with a throw of 193-4.

Felpel placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 61-10 1/2, while Proffit was fourth in the javelin with a personal best throw of 193-8.

On the track, the Donegal boys' 400 relay ran a 43.96, Elizabethown 45.45, Manheim Township 45.96 and Octorara 46.48. Hempfield's team was disqualified.
