Contest Rules

1. Contest starts Sunday, November 20, 2011 and ends on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
2. You must be at least 18 years old to play.
3. No purchase necessary.
4. You may only use official Lancaster Newspapers-Weis Markets Holiday Grocery Giveaway entry forms that may be found in ads every day 11/20-12/17 in the daily Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era and Sunday News. Other official entry blanks are available at the Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. offices in downtown Lancaster at 8 West King Street, limit one per person per day, between 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday during the contest dates (except for Thursday, November 25, Thanksgiving Day).
5. If you are an online newspaper subscriber to LancasterOnline.com's eEditions, you may print out and complete a copy of the entry form, and then drop it off at the locations noted. Limit one online entry per each online issue date of the Sunday News and the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era.
6. Hand drawn, machine-duplicated or photocopied entry forms are invalid.
7. Enter as many times with valid entries as you wish. The more completed entries you enter, the higher your chances of winning. The odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of entries received each week.
8. All completed entry forms must be dropped off during store hours at any of the Weis Market supermarket locations listed at the end of the Contest Rules & Regulations. Or...you may drop completed entry forms in the front lobby of Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. offices in downtown Lancaster during contest dates and business hours (except Thursday, November 25, Thanksgiving Day).
9. Deadline for each week's entries is 9:00 P.M. on the final Saturday of each of the 4 weeks.
10. Each week there will be one winner. That's a total of 4 winners during the contest dates. Each week's winner shall win $500 in Weis Markets gift cards. There is no cash substitute for any prize won.
11. The first prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week One (11/20-26). The second prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week Two (11/27-12/3). The third prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week Three (12/4-10). The fourth and final prize will be awarded to one entry drawn at random from among all entries received during Week Four (12/11-17).
12. Limit one (1) prize per household/family for the duration of the contest.
13. You do not need to be present to win. Judge's decisions are final.
14. All winners will be notified by phone and arrangements made to provide them with their prizes.
15. Winners' names will be published in the Sunday News one week after the end of each prize week. Winners agree to allow their name and photo to be used in newspaper and online advertisements.
16. Should a weekly winner be unable to accept the prize, a second drawing will be immediately held from among all entries received to choose a new weekly winner.
17. Winners are responsible for all taxes on prizes won and will be required to fill out and sign a form that includes name, address, telephone and social security number in order for the prize to be released. If this form is not filled out, or the winner refuses to fill out this form, the winner's entry becomes invalid and another drawing will be immediately held from among all entries received to choose a new weekly winner.
18. Winners will receive their $500 in Weis Market gift cards within 2 weeks following the publication of the winner announcement in the newspaper.
19. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. may substitute a prize of like or equal value.
20. 1.Any attempt to bribe, coerce, or offer cash or a prize or a chance to win cash or a prize in exchange for an additional qualifying entry or additional multiple qualifying entries on the behalf of a contest participant by any other person is prohibited and will disqualify the contest entries of all persons involved in this activity.
21. Employees of Steinman Enterprise firms, Weis Markets and related companies and their immediate household members are not eligible to play.
22. Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. reserves the right to alter any rules of any contest at any time.

For those without online access, a printed copy of the complete rules & regulations is available at the front desk of Lancaster Newspapers during the contest dates during business hours (except Thursday, November 24, Thanksgiving Day).
