Shirley M. Stock, 57, of New Providence, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Hospice and Community Care-Mt. Joy, PA, following a lung transplant she received in 1998.

Born in Lancaster, PA, she is the daughter of the late Isaac S. and Jeannette M. Gainor Keller. She was the widow of Larry T. Stock. They were married for 31 years.

Shirley worked for the Lancaster Newspapers for 36 years where she retired. She was a graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School where she met her husband.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Shirley formerly ran ambulance with the Providence Twp. Ambulance. She loved going to Ocean City, Maryland on an annual trip with her friends; her two Jack Russell's, collecting lighthouses, going to see the Lancaster Barnstormers, and Jimmy Buffet music. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a loving heart to help anyone if they needed her and was kind to everyone, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Timothy L., husband of Megan R. Stock, Pequea; a brother, Richard I., husband of Sharon Keller, Lancaster, PA; her father-in-law, Thomas James Stock, Jr., of Willow Street and two grandchildren, Joshua T. Stock and Kayanne R. Ressler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shirley's Life Celebration Service from the Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Interment at Conestoga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Fred F. Groff, Inc.
