Richard B. Gensemer, 75, of Reinholds, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Lebanon to the late William and Clara C. (Boyer) Gensemer and was the husband of Pauline (Miller) Gensemer, who died October 28, 1996.
Richard enjoyed racing; he was a driver and mechanic. For 40 years, he spent a majority of his time at Maple Grove Raceway, racing go-karts, midgets, motorcycles, and drag racing.
Richard worked as a truck driver for more than 20 years working at Dutchman's Trucking, Denver, Berks Tread, Adelphia Seafood, and security for Acme Warehouse, Denver until his retirement in 2003.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Carole L., wife of David Ensinger of Denver; a granddaughter, Christine M. Ensinger, companion of Rodney Chadwick; and a great granddaughter, Alexandria Chadwick.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 533 Walnut Street, Denver, followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor BW Hambrick officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
